Behavioral Health Facilities Email List

Reach Mental Health Treatment Centers & Behavioral Healthcare Decision-Makers Across the USA

Connect with behavioral health facilities and the people responsible for clinical services, facility operations, purchasing, staffing and technology.

Build a list of behavioral health administrators, executive directors, clinical directors, program managers, operations leaders and other available decision-makers. Use it to promote behavioral health software, telehealth technology, staffing services, billing solutions, clinical equipment and other relevant B2B products.

Counts and sample records come before any commitment. Business contact data only, never patient information.

The list

What Is a Behavioral Health Facilities Email List?

A behavioral health facilities email list is a business contact database of mental health and behavioral healthcare treatment organizations and the professionals who manage their services.

Companies use it to find facilities, reach the administrator or director who decides, and introduce products and services that support behavioral healthcare delivery. Sales teams use it for prospecting and territory planning; marketing teams use it for email and account-based campaigns.

You choose the facilities by setting (outpatient, residential or inpatient) and by service (mental health, substance use treatment or both), so the list matches what you sell.

What you receive
A spreadsheet of behavioral health facilities, each with business contacts for its administrators, clinical leaders and other available decision-makers.
Which facilities
Outpatient mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, residential programs, community mental health centers and substance use treatment facilities, subject to available data.
Which details
Facility name, address, website and type, plus contact name, job title, department, business email and business phone where available.
How targeting works
Pick states, facility types, settings and job titles. We check coverage for that selection and quote for it.

Facility data, not individual clinicians

  • Facilities (this page)

Organizations that deliver behavioral healthcare, and the people who run them: administrators, directors, operations and IT.

  • Individual professionals

Psychiatrists and psychologists as individual clinicians, wherever they practice.

    Psychiatrists email list
  • General clinics

Medical clinic organizations of every specialty. Behavioral health clinics are a narrower group, covered here.

Facility types

Types of Behavioral Health Facilities You Can Target

These categories overlap. One organization can run an outpatient clinic and a residential program in several states, and services differ between facilities. Not every behavioral health facility treats substance use disorders.

Behavioral health facility types, a description of each and relevant business opportunities
Facility TypeDescriptionRelevant Business Opportunities
Outpatient mental health clinicsClinics offering scheduled therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, without overnight stays.Practice management and EHR software, telehealth, billing services
Inpatient psychiatric facilitiesPsychiatric hospitals and psychiatric units inside general hospitals, providing 24-hour care for acute needs.Safety-rated furniture and equipment, nurse staffing, clinical documentation systems
Residential behavioral health treatment centersPrograms where people live on site for a period of structured treatment.Facility services, food service, program software, staffing
Community mental health centersCommunity-based providers, often publicly funded, offering outpatient, crisis and support services to a local area.Grant and outcomes reporting, care coordination tools, training
Substance use treatment facilitiesProviders of treatment for substance use disorders, from outpatient counseling to residential programs. Some also treat mental health conditions.Treatment-specific EHR, laboratory and testing services, compliance consulting
Integrated behavioral health providersOrganizations combining behavioral health with primary care or other medical services.Shared records and scheduling, care coordination, analytics
Multi-location behavioral health organizationsGroups running several clinics, programs or facilities, often across states, with central purchasing.Enterprise software, group contracts, standardized training

Which segments you can select depends on verified coverage for each facility type. Substance use treatment is a separate segment and is not the same as physical rehabilitation.

Behavioral Health Decision-Makers You Can Reach

Industry overview

Behavioral Health Facilities in the United States

Official facility figures from SAMHSA's national survey of treatment facilities. They describe the U.S. market, not the HCPContacts database.

Behavioral health facilities treat mental health conditions, substance use disorders or both. Most care is outpatient: 85.3 percent of mental health treatment facilities offered outpatient services in 2024, 17.5 percent residential care and 9.1 percent hospital inpatient care. By type, SAMHSA counted 5,766 outpatient mental health facilities, 1,923 community mental health centers and 430 psychiatric hospitals (SAMHSA detailed tables (source for facility types) (opens in a new tab)).

Running these organizations means licensed clinical staff, records with strict privacy rules, billing across several payers, and safe buildings for residential and inpatient programs. Technology is central: 79.4 percent of mental health treatment facilities offered telehealth therapy in 2024, according to the same tables.

These are official survey totals, not HCPContacts record counts.

The 2024 N-SUMHSS (source for SAMHSA facility counts) (opens in a new tab) counts 21,205 facilities that responded, out of 23,948 eligible. It excludes solo and small group practices not licensed as clinics. Ask us for the number of HCPContacts records that match your selection.

What to market

What Can You Market to Behavioral Health Facilities?

Six categories behavioral health organizations buy, with the people who usually decide. Results depend on your offer and your outreach.

  • Behavioral Health EHR Software

Records, treatment plans, scheduling and billing built for therapy, psychiatric and substance use programs.

    Who decides
Executive Director, Clinical Director, IT Director
    Why it may be relevant
Behavioral health documentation and privacy rules differ from general medicine, so general-purpose systems often fit poorly.
  • Telehealth and Virtual Care Platforms

Video visits, remote check-ins and virtual group sessions.

    Who decides
Clinical Director, Medical Director, IT Director
    Why it may be relevant
Many therapy and medication visits can happen by video, widening a facility's reach.
  • Healthcare Staffing Solutions

Therapists, counselors, psychiatric nurses, prescribers and support staff.

    Who decides
HR Director, Administrator, Director of Nursing
    Why it may be relevant
Licensed behavioral health clinicians are hard to recruit, and open roles limit how many people a facility can serve.
  • Medical Billing and RCM Services

Billing, prior authorizations, credentialing and claims follow-up.

    Who decides
    Revenue Cycle Director, Administrator
    Why it may be relevant
Facilities often bill several payers with different authorization rules for each program.
  • IT and Cybersecurity Solutions

Network and device security, backup, access control and IT support.

    Who decides
    IT Director, Compliance Director
    Why it may be relevant
Behavioral health and substance use records are highly sensitive and carry strict privacy requirements.
  • Training and Operational Consulting

Staff education, accreditation readiness and program design.

    Who decides
    CEO, Program Director, Compliance Director
    Why it may be relevant
New programs, licensing and accreditation surveys all need preparation and documented training.

Targeting example

Build a Targeted Behavioral Health Facility Contact List

A behavioral health software company wants to reach outpatient mental health treatment centers in California and New York.

Targeting requirements

Geography
California and New York
Facility type
Outpatient mental health treatment centers
Job titles
Executive Director, Clinical Director, Operations Director, IT Director
Required fields

What happens next

HCPContacts reviews these requirements, checks the records available in both states and prepares a sample and a pricing quote. Smaller outpatient centers often have no IT director, so we tell you where the executive director is the better contact.

An example request. Matching counts are confirmed when you ask.

A listing in a public treatment directory or a CMS file shows that a facility exists and what services it offers. It does not mean anyone at the facility has agreed to marketing. Follow the email and privacy laws that apply to your campaigns, including honoring opt-out requests. The database holds business contacts only and no patient information. The data was last taken through a full verification pass in September 2026.
