The company

What Is Veradigm?

Veradigm is a Chicago healthcare technology company. It sells EHR, practice management, e-prescribing, revenue cycle and patient engagement software to physician practices, and data services to health plans and life science companies.

Veradigm used to be Allscripts. In May 2022, Allscripts sold its hospital and large physician practice business, including Sunrise, Paragon and TouchWorks, to N. Harris Computer, which runs it as Altera Digital Health. Allscripts then renamed itself Veradigm, effective January 1, 2023.

So “Allscripts” now points to two companies. A practice on Veradigm EHR is a Veradigm customer. A hospital on Sunrise is an Altera customer. Knowing which one a target runs tells you who supports its systems, what it is likely to need and who to contact.

Hospital EHRs and practice software are different buys

A hospital EHR such as Sunrise covers inpatient care, orders, pharmacy and hospital billing, and is run by a CIO and an informatics team. Practice software such as Veradigm EHR or Practice Fusion covers outpatient visits, scheduling and claims, and at a small practice the practice manager may be the only decision-maker. Write to each differently.

How Widely Veradigm and Altera Products Are Used

Figures published by Veradigm and by the federal health IT office. They describe the market, not HCPContacts records.

The federal figures count clinicians and hospitals in one Medicare program. A clinician can report more than one developer, and many practices do not report there, so these are not market shares.

Frequently Asked Questions About Veradigm Customers

Veradigm, the Allscripts products and the data, answered briefly.

It is a list of healthcare organizations that use Veradigm products, such as Veradigm EHR, Practice Fusion or Veradigm Practice Management, paired with business contacts for the people who manage them, such as practice administrators, IT directors and revenue cycle leaders.

Partly. Allscripts Healthcare Solutions renamed itself Veradigm effective January 1, 2023. Before that, in May 2022, it sold its hospital and large physician practice business, including Sunrise, Paragon and TouchWorks, to N. Harris Computer, which runs it as Altera Digital Health. So some former Allscripts products belong to Veradigm and others to Altera.

Mostly ambulatory physician practices, from small independent offices on Practice Fusion to multi-location specialty groups on Veradigm EHR. Public examples include Orthopedic Centers of Colorado, Grand Island Clinic, Midwest ENT Centre and Chesapeake Urology. The examples table lists each with its source.

It is the ambulatory EHR for physician practices that Veradigm now sells as Veradigm EHR. Veradigm's filings describe Veradigm EHR as formerly Allscripts Professional EHR.

TouchWorks EHR is an EHR for large, multidisciplinary physician practices. It was part of the business Allscripts sold in 2022, so it is now an Altera Digital Health product, not a Veradigm product.

No. Sunrise, the hospital EHR, went to N. Harris Computer with the 2022 sale and is now sold by Altera Digital Health. The same applies to Paragon, which Altera also offers as the cloud-based Paragon Denali.

Ask for it. HCPContacts records technology mainly at vendor level, so product-level availability is checked per request. Tell us the product, for example Veradigm EHR, Practice Fusion, Sunrise or TouchWorks, and we confirm what can be matched before you order.

Yes. Practices and medical groups are the core of Veradigm's customer base. Hospitals on former Allscripts systems run Altera products today, and contacts at those hospitals can be requested as well.

Records can include full name, job title, department, management level, business email and business phone, plus the organization's name, type, website, size and location. Available fields vary by record.

Yes. Choose one or more states, cities or regions, or the whole United States, and combine location with organization type, size and job role.

Yes. Send your products, organization types, locations and roles through the form on this page, and we reply with sample records from that selection.

Pricing depends on the number of records, the fields and the targeting you choose. Send your criteria and we reply with a count and a quote.

Technology usage and contact details are checked separately. A valid business email does not prove an organization uses Veradigm, and a public customer story does not prove a person still works there. Ask how the technology was identified for your selection, and we explain the evidence behind it.

Yes. HCPContacts has customer lists for Epic, Oracle Health, MEDITECH, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen Healthcare, AdvancedMD and Greenway Health, and other EHRs can be requested.
